20th Rainbows

Rainbow Guides started just over 25 years ago and our Unit started at All Saints Church, Hose Side Road on the 17th April 1991, a date that we celebrate each year with a birthday party.

Our unit is called the Squirrels and originally all the leaders took squirrel names from Beatrix Potter books and I have been called Silvertail ever since.

In April 2011 we celebrated 20 years with an Open Day on the Saturday and a special Parade service on the Sunday. Unfortunately All Saints Church closed shortly after this and we where forced to move to the hall in Thirlmere Drive where we have held our meetings for the past two years. We meet and meet on Wednesday afternoons at “Thirlmere Drive Hall” off Seaview Road and attend Church Parade Services at  our adopted church of St. Hilary’s.
