11th Wallasey (St.Hilary’s)


We are two thriving units, meeting on a Tuesday evening at Guide Headquarters on Leasowe Road.

The Rainbows are between the ages of 5 and 7 years and they between 4.15p.m. and 5.15p.m.

The Brownies are between the ages of 7 and 10years and meet between 5.30p.m. and 7.00p.m.

Our weekly meetings follow the Programmes of Girl Guiding UK and these are based on Five Essentials:

1. Working in small groups

2. Care for the individual

3.A wide and varied programme

4.Girls participating in decision making

5. Commitment to a common standard( The Guide Promise)

They girls also take part in a wide variety of activities outside the Tuesday meeting . These have included:

Fund raising for charity; Olympic Sports Evening;

Visit to Adventureland in New Brighton; visit to Gulliver’s World  Warrington; Christmas craft day and a Science and Discovery Day both at the Wirral

County Campsite at Willaston; visiting the Light Cinema; Visiting Spaceport.

The Units attend St. Hilary’s for 4 Parade Services a year and take  an active part in the services where appropriate.

The units have an enthusiastic group of Leaders who give very willingly of their time.
